Technology is evolving as we speak. New innovations are coming to the foray. Most of them are intended to make life easier than before. A tablet is one such innovation that has literally enabled individuals to carry out all the functions that they would do using a computer.
Students across our country are now keen on using Tablets as study material. Gone are the days when students had to literally push dozens of notes into their sack and carry it on their back for a good part of the entire day. Students are now coming up with a theory where they want their faculty and teachers to make use of tablets for the purpose of teaching.
Tablet is a like a bridge between paper and computer. It is a perfect blend of both. This is probably the prime reason why Tablets have become routine for many students. Students have realized that with the help of a tablet, they no longer have to go through the process of printing notes from a computer. They can carry the notes with them anywhere by having them installed in their tablet.
Tablet is not only a blessing for students, but a great boon for teachers as well. Teachers have to keep updating themselves about the new and innovative ways of teaching students. By using a tablet, they will surely be able to attract a lot more students to attend classes.
With the help of a tablet, teachers will be able to refer to notes while teaching. They will get easy access to course readings and information. It makes the teachers more mobile. It brings in more flexibility as far as teaching techniques are concerned. For instance – teachers will be able to roam throughout the classroom with a tablet in their hand and go on teaching.
Universities and colleges throughout the country have been known to embrace new teaching techniques. The educational institutes have been known to make use of the best facilities. A tablet can effectively change the dynamics of the classroom.
With teachers and students making use of tablets, there will be more scope for interactions amongst them. At the moment, most of the classes follow a preaching sort of a procedure wherein the teacher goes on explaining and the students go on nodding and listening. Unfortunately, most of them are probably just hearing and not listening.
With the use of tablets, teachers will be able to save paper. Hence, it is a great environmental initiative as well. Apart from saving paper, it will also enable the teachers to stop worrying about losing important sheets. There have been occasions when teachers have even misplaced examination papers. Such incidences can be avoided by moving towards the use of tablets instead of the conventional way of teaching.
With the number of higher education student enrollments not really increasing at a rapid pace, an initiative of this sort might turn out to be just the right formula.
