Career Planning
The University of Denver's commitment to student success extends well beyond the classroom and into the future. With career success in mind, the Career Center prepares students to seek and find rewarding work.
Finding a job
DU students and alumni who are looking for work often turn to our cyber job bank, DU Careers Online. Students can post a resume and view job listings from employers eager to hire DU graduates. The service makes it easy to set up on-campus interviews with interested employers. It also offers a database of potential mentors -- people who would be willing to advise students as they begin and advance their careers.
The Career Center also sets up career fairs on campus on a regular basis, giving students a chance to meet face-to-face with prospective employers.
Finding an internship
Each year, hundreds of DU students gain hands-on experience through internships. It's the kind of experience that makes potential employers take notice.
To ensure students have a wide range of internship opportunities, DU is a member of the Internship Exchange Database, created through a partnership of 18 colleges and universities across the country. All 18 members share their listings of available internships. If the Internship Exchange Database doesn?t offer a position of interest, a Career Center counselor will help students explore other options.
Group workshops
The Career Center also offers group workshops on everything from specific career options to general work skills. Here are a few of the available options:
