At the Writing Center, we help students, faculty, and staff--the entire Daniel Webster College community--with any form of writing: whether for a class or unassigned personal writing. Additionally, we look at writing for all courses, not only English courses.
We help with writing at any stage in the process:
proofreading for grammar/punctuation
how to start a piece
how to continue a piece to reach a page requirement
how to polish an advanced draft.
For immediate help with basic research citations (MLA, APA, Chicago) consult the following library-sponsored Article Database and Electronic Resource page.
Graduate and Continuing Studies students at Daniel Webster College can also receive writing tutoring through the Online Writing Lab (OWL). To obtain online tutoring, students need to gain access to the OWL which utilizes a Blackboard site. Send an email to Diane McCann Thomas, DWC Registrar, at [email protected]. In the subject line of the email, write REQUEST FOR ENROLLMENT IN ONLINE WRITING LAB. In the body of the email, include your name and your DWC email address.
