The Director of Application Services leads strategic planning and operational oversight for Ross's application and data ecosystem. You will manage a team of Application & Web Development, Salesforce, Design, Business Analysis, and AI development. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, you will shape IT direction, build organizational capabilities, and ensure we have the applications, data, and digital experiences needed to support our mission.
This role is hybrid with on-site expectations in Ann Arbor, MI, 3 days per week, and may require on-call hours. For a full job description, see link here.

Responsibilities*
Lead and develop teams, including the Supervisor of Application Development, development team, Salesforce team, Business Systems Analysts, and Senior Project Manager.
Lead long-term strategy for Ross's application, web, data, and AI ecosystem in partnership with the CIO and IT leadership, defining priorities for modernization, optimization, integration, and data quality.
Direct activities to optimize application functionality, data structures, and business process support. Oversee requirements analysis, cross-system design, business rules development, and adherence to development and operational best practices.
Serve as a primary IT liaison to Ross units and campus IT partners. Collaborate with school leadership and business stakeholders to deliver business-aligned solutions that enhance productivity, continuity, and customer experience.
Lead major projects including RFPs, vendor assessments, enterprise contracts, procurement activities, and compliance processes.
Establish and maintain budgets for third-party applications and Salesforce. Oversee contract negotiations, monitor expenditures, and partner with the CIO to plan and forecast future needs.
Advance operational excellence by ensuring effective application usage, process automation, data communication, documentation, and adherence to university standards.
Direct the Salesforce team to ensure high-quality data, strong integrations, a stable and scalable platform.
Set the long-term vision and roadmap for Salesforce in partnership with degree programs, business stakeholders, and IT leadership.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
At least 7 years of experience directing application development, web platforms, Salesforce solutions, and business analysis.
Formal experience in management of individual contributors and other managers including responsibility for strategic planning, goal setting, resource planning, employee development, performance management and team building.
Experience with strategic planning within an IT environment and managing business deliverables to a diverse customer base.
Strong understanding of complex data structures and data integration for dashboards and business processes.
Demonstrated project management skills with experience directing multiple, complex, cross-functional projects.
