Faculty position to teach on the Spartanburg and/or Greenville campus.
The Department of Natural Sciences and Engineering is seeking applicants for a non-tenure-track, nine-month Instructor of Chemistry. The selected candidate will primarily teach introductory and general chemistry lectures and laboratories to support science and engineering majors and general education students. Additional duties will include advising undergraduate students, serving on university committees, actively supporting unit initiatives, and can include laboratory preparation and coordination in place of other assigned duties.

Required Education and Experience
Masters degree with at least 18 graduate hours in chemistry or a closely-related field is required by the time of appointment, August 15, 2026. Candidates must have the ability to teach introductory chemistry courses. A successful background check is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with full-time or part-time experience as the instructor of record in introductory chemistry or closely-related fields are preferred.
