    The University of Michigan's Center for Global Health Equity was launched by a catalytic gift from Dr. Tachi and Leslie Yamada, and was generously matched by the University. The Center brings together faculty and students from across the U-M community, leveraging expertise from multiple disciplines in pursuit of novel solutions to global health challenges that can positively impact individuals in low-resource settings.

    The Center for Global Health Equity (CGHE) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Intermediate Manager to design and manage the Policy, Partnerships, and Innovation Program at CGHE, supporting the development and implementation of Data and AI-driven health initiatives in collaboration with internal and external partners. Key tasks include building and maintaining strategic internal and external partnerships, serving as staff support for the development of policy strategies and research proposals and establishing governance and regulatory challenges at the intersection of technology and global health. Foster cross-disciplinary community through workshops, outreach, and communications. These responsibilities require skillful coordination, organization, and engagement with external and internal partners.

    Working under the direction of the Center's Director and Associate Director and supervised by the Managing Director, the Project Intermediate Manager will support and lead efforts to design, develop, and evaluate educational programs collaboratively with U-M faculty, international partners, and external stakeholders. There will be a strong emphasis on developing, implementing, and reporting metrics and tactics that measure the direct impact of these initiatives on the world's most vulnerable populations.

    Responsibilities*
    Program and Partnership Development (40%)

    Design, launch, and manage CGHE's Policy, Partnerships, and Innovation Program, supporting AI-driven and other health equity initiatives.
    Identify, cultivate, and maintain partnerships with academic institutions, industry collaborators, philanthropic organizations, and global health agencies.
    Collaborate across campus and U-M's Innovation Partnerships and FFMI to create pathways for technology translation and commercialization.
    Plan and coordinate workshops, policy convenings, and symposia on global AI governance and innovation for low-resource health systems.
    Governance and Policy Strategy (30%)

    Serve as the CGHE staff contact for global health governance and policy strategy initiatives.
    Support development of research proposals, policy briefs, and white papers addressing ethical, regulatory, and implementation challenges for AI in global health.
    Coordinate and strengthen governance frameworks that promote responsible data stewardship, use, equitable technology access, and inclusive participation in digital health ecosystems.
    Bridge governance and policy translation by guiding the development of actionable policies informed by evidence, ethics, and local context.
    Collaborate with faculty, research teams, and partners to transform academic insights into practical governance mechanisms and policy outputs that advance global health equity.
    Explore the potential for U-M to fill roles in governance issues and contribute to emerging global health challenges.
    Community Building and Outreach (15%)

    Build and strengthen a cross-disciplinary community of scholars, innovators, and practitioners advancing global health innovation.
    Partner with CGHE communications staff to develop digital and print content highlighting CGHE's innovation work.
    Represent CGHE at U-M events and external forums related to AI, policy, and global health partnerships.
    Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (10%)

    Develop and track metrics of success for policy, innovation, and partnership initiatives, including team-based performance measures and collaboration outcomes.
    Maintain accurate documentation of collaborations, funding opportunities, and impact reports.
    Contribute to annual and strategic planning documents for the Center.
