Job Description:
Fulfills the mission of Norwich University by managing stewardship activities around endowed scholarships. Support Stewardship Team with the Scholarship Thank You Process including producing scholarship reports for donors, working with Financial Aid to assign scholarships, scheduling students to complete their thank you profiles and supporting events related to thank you process.
Hybrid work schedule may be authorized.
Essential Functions
Responsible for donor-funded Scholarships
Mails annual endowed scholarship reports; collaborate with Financial Aid and assigned staff members to mail packets to donors.
Updates Raisers Edge (RE) and Financial Aid with current scholarship criteria, fund numbers and contact information.
Sets up new donor-funded scholarships by creating MOUs, establishing criteria and setting up fund numbers.
Responds to scholarship donor requests for information and fund reports
Serves as primary owner of Scholarship Thank You process.
Communicates with Financial Aid to receive annual list of scholarship recipients (approx. 400 students).
Manages student outreach regarding completing their thank you letter/profile through email, text, phone calls and other notices.
Plans and executes events to ensure student scholarship recipients produce a thoughtful thank you letter/profile to convey their gratitude for their scholarship.
Collaborates with faculty, staff, Commandant's office, athletic coaches to assist with Thank-A-Thon events and student outreach.
Ensures high-quality, meaningful, and timely production of students thank you letter/profiles for scholarship donors. Coordinate mailings in advance of Scholarship Luncheon in April.
Plans and executes scholarship-related events.
Dinners at the President's house for select student scholarship recipients.
Annual Scholarship Luncheon.
Provides cross-team support to acknowledge the university's donors in the most meaningful ways possible and further enhance philanthropic relationships.
Collaborates with Development Officers and team members to design and monitor opportunities for donor recognition throughout the year.
Serve as secondary support to all additional stewardship events.
Other Functions

Serves on University committees, councils, workgroups, or other designated bodies as assigned.
Achieves, maintains proficiency in, and utilizes computers, telephones, and other job-related equipment, including related systems and software.
Speaks, reads, and writes in English.
Communicates by telephone, email, letter, in person, or other means or device.
Performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required.
5 years of related work experience
Experience in data analysis and reporting required
Respect and advance the mission of Norwich University
Knowledge of Norwich University's history, environment, and academic culture
Strong computing and technical skills, including familiarity with a networked environment, Microsoft Office, relational databases, and other applications
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook) Experience with Raisers Edge or similar software preferred
Work some evening or weekend hours
