Job Description:
Lead data reporting for internal constituencies, generating queries and standard and canonical reports such as the Factbook, position requests, department reports, and ad hoc reports for offices and committees.
Use Tableau to create data visualizations for stakeholders, fostering a more data-driven approach to decision-making.
Assist with building and maintaining institutional datasets, developing a strong understanding of underlying variables and cleaning datasets.
Serve as lead in data reporting to external agencies and organizations such as IPEDS, Princeton Review, Peterson's, and NSF-NIH.
Develop interactive visualizations and reports.
Assist in conducting surveys to gather information from prospective and current students.
Develop and conduct all phases of data analyses on various projects and initiatives, from extracting, cleaning, compiling and analyzing data, to visualizing and presenting information. Write and maintain documentation for data and reporting processes.

Master's degree in data analytics, social science, math, business, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in an occupation involving data analysis, data management, or operations research
Additional Required Skills
Designing Tableau dashboards tailored to stakeholders, including survey results and enrollment trends, with different visualizations designed for high impact.
Integrating nuanced calculations into Tableau dashboards such as dynamic filters and parameters and other advanced features to support stakeholder decision making.
Demonstrated ability to clean, transform, and merge datasets using R and Python or similar software/programming to support reporting, analysis, and automation to drive efficiency.
Managing and synthesizing large datasets, using database management tools to manage and steward large longitudinal datasets using effective practices in database design and languages, such as SQL.
Maintaining detailed documentation of data transformations, validation processes, and dashboard configurations to ensure transparency and accuracy in institutional data systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of industry-standard data definitions and reporting structures specific to higher education, including IPEDS, Common Data Set, and guidebook reporting, with an understanding of how they relate to higher education accreditation and compliance.
(The required special skills may be gained through completion of graduate coursework or internships, or through post-bachelor's work experience.)
** Employee is required to be on site 5 days per week, Monday - Friday, at 950 Main Street, Worcester MA 01610, during normal business hours. Must be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
