  • Job Summary
    The Financial and Accounting Analyst will perform basic to moderately complex financial and accounting entries and reporting. This role is a lead position that will work closely with the Associate Controller and assist with the investment, endowment and general reporting.
    Responsibilities
    Provide monthly and quarterly journal entries related to investment and endowment accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    Act as cognizant accountant for assigned Administrative functions including reviewing journal entries.
    Supervise a senior accountant responsible for daily investment entries.
    Prepare consolidated cash and investment entries and related footnotes for the University Annual Financial Report.
    Responsible for annual investment reporting to the State Board of Higher Education.
    Perform other related duties, including special projects, as required.

    Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalency and four years of progressively more responsible management analyst experience; and demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills required.

    Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description.
    Preferences
    Advanced Excel and understanding of databases.

    Understanding of concepts related to financial statements, fund accounting and basic accounting.

    Effective written and verbal communication across different organizational levels.

    Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
