Are you ready to be a part of breakthrough research?
Cedars-Sinai offers scientists unparalleled access to ground breaking technologies, facilities, and resources for conducting research related to an impressive range of diseases and disorders, from cancer, cardiology, and digestive diseases, to genetics, genomics, neurosciences, and women's health. You can continue your career journey with us!
Principal Investigators, Paul Noble, MD, and Dianhua Jiang, MD, PhD invite you to consider this great opportunity to join their dynamic team!
Research in the Noble and Jiang Laboratory focuses on cellular and molecular mechanisms of lung inflammation and fibrosis, the role of lung stem cells in pulmonary fibrosis and the role of host defense in lung inflammation and fibrosis.
The Research Associate II will perform routine and increasingly complex laboratory tasks and procedures and develops technical expertise in one or more areas relevant to research projects. The RA II member will participate in research activities involving all aspects of the research process, to include, but not limited to investigation, technical, testing/validation of results, and report findings. The incumbent will perform a variety of routine experimental protocols and procedures to support the objectives of laboratory research projects. The incumbent will observe and follow safety standards and procedures, assist in preparation of data for publication and/or presentation at scholarly meetings, and assist in general laboratory maintenance. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
The associate investigates molecular mechanisms of lung fibrosis, and participates in research projects including the role of innate immune, stem cells, extracellular matrix, resident mesenchymal cells, and fibroblast lineages in lung injury and repair. Experimental approaches employed in our lab include molecular biology, genetically modified mice, lineage tracing, lung injury models, prospective isolation and organoid culture of lung stem cells, single cell RNA-seq, immunology, and genomics studies.
