Through DBU's Student Counseling Center, individual, marital, and family counseling sessions are available on a limited basis to address any issues or concerns that DBU students may have. These counseling services are provided free to DBU students currently taking classes. If the case load in the Counseling Center is especially heavy, or if the availability of staff is limited, the individual counseling provided may be short term. In that situation, if additional counseling sessions are indicated, information about and/or referral to other counseling sources will be provided. All counseling will be provided by or supervised by a licensed professional. Vocational, pre-marital, and personality testing are also available for a fee through the Student Counseling Center.
This website contains a delineation of a few office policies and procedures to help students, faculty, and staff be informed and knowledgeable about the available services through the DBU Counseling Center. Counseling and testing are scheduled by appointment only. The Counseling Center is located on the first floor of the Collins Learning Center. To schedule an appointment, talk with a counselor, or for more information, contact the Student Counseling Center at 214-333-5288.
