Yeshiva Approves Post-Madoff Policies on Conflicts of Interest

Yeshiva University’s trustees approved new conflict of interest measures after the school lost millions of dollars in the fraud involving Bernard Madoff, a former trustee.
The board members approved a policy on March 17 prohibiting themselves from engaging in business with the New York school, Bruce Bobbins, a spokesman for Yeshiva, said today. Members of the university’s investment committee are now “absolutely prohibited†from managing school money, he said.
