UConn and Other Schools Adjust Schedules as Irene Nears

As Hurricane Irene threatens to hit Connecticut this weekend, University of Connecticut officials are making changes to the scheduled student move-in process to help ensure the safety of students and families.

Students received an email Thursday from the university with new move-in times and advice on how to best prepare for the storm.

Here’s what UConn officials want you to know:

Freshmen move-in will proceed as scheduled on Friday until 4 p.m., as will Convocation at 5 p.m., with a program....
