Missouri State University replaces president

Missouri State University has replaced its president after about a year on the job.

University officials said Monday that James Cofer was stepping down as president to become a professor in the business school. Cofer was named president of Missouri State in May 2010 and began his duties in August. Cofer was to begin teaching in fall 2012 and would be paid $165,000 per year, which is 60 percent of his current wage.
