Report released on faculty, staff salaries at University of Michigan - modest increase

Faculty and staff salaries at the University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus grew at a modest pace in 2010-11, according to data released by the university.

Faculty salaries increased, on average, 2.6 percent. Salary increases for campus staff averaged 2.3 percent.

"It is important that we work hard to retain our high-performing and internationally competitive faculty and staff members," said Phil Hanlon, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, in a news release.
