Top 2 candidates for UT president selected

The search for the next UT President is in its final stages. On Wednesday, the top two candidates were named.

Brian Noland, chancellor of the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, and Joe DePietro, chancellor of the UT Institute of Agriculture are the two finalists. Each of them received 8 votes from the search committee who conducted the last round of interviews Wednesday.

Of the other candidates, Jerry Askew received 2 votes, Craig Fitzhugh 1 vote, and Robert McGrath 0 votes.
