University breaks ground on new residence hall

West Texas A&M University officials and other dignitaries broke ground on a new residence hall during a special ceremony Tuesday. The open-to-the-public event took place at the construction site just east of Cornette Library where Hudspeth Hall once stood.

Tuesday’s groundbreaking for the new Centennial Hall reflected WTAMU’s continued efforts to expand its facilities to meet the educational needs of a growing student population. It is part of an estimated $71 million worth of construction projects....
