Boston College and Its Radical Feminist 'Catholic'

For those who had not noticed, Mary Daly died last Friday. Daly was a feminist theologian who taught for 35 years at Jesuit-run Boston College in Massachusetts. She was, it seems safe to say, the Boston Globe's kind of Catholic.

The Globe's editorial tribute to her is running today under the headline "Requiem for a feminist." It is possible to be both a feminist and a Catholic. Though Daly was clearly more feminist than Catholic, a case could be made that she was really neither.
