Regents OK $21 million in endowment payouts

UT System regents have allocated an additional $21 million in endowment payouts — $7 million for each of the next three years — to the Austin flagship campus.

The money is earmarked for recruiting and retaining top professors and is in addition to regular endowment payouts. The regular payout for the current academic year is $160.7 million, while the projected payouts are $157.2 million and $151.7 million for the next two....
