The next matchup between Boston College and the University of Southern California wasn’t scheduled until the 2013 season, but in the wacky world of college football bowls, the unexpected sometimes happens. That was the case yesterday, when Emerald Bowl officials announced that the Dec. 26 game in San Francisco will pit the Eagles against the Trojans.
