University of Tennessee might sell president's home

The University of Tennessee wants to sell the president's residence in Sequoyah Hills as a cost-cutting measure.

The Georgian-style brick house at 940 Cherokee Blvd. has been the official residence for UT presidents off and on since 1960.

University trustees will hear a proposal Tuesday to sell the 11,416-square-foot, five-bedroom home during committee meetings in Nashville.
