PECO, Temple University Give Jolt To Scholars

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – This afternoon, PECO and Temple University will applaud more than a dozen students whose college careers come with what you might call a power boost.

The PECO Scholars Program was established in 2010, says the company’s Ben Armstrong, with an eye toward providing a little extra financial boost for some high-achieving students, 15 this academic year, for whom other grants had fallen a bit short.
