Job Description
Weber State University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position in the School of Computing to begin in Fall 2027. The School of Computing houses three programs: Computer Science, Cybersecurity and Network Management, and Web & User Experience.
Job Duties
Successful candidates will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in a variety of modalities and locations, including face-to-face, virtual, and online courses at the Ogden and Davis campuses, as well as occasional evening classes. Additional responsibilities will include conducting research and scholarly activities, participating in course and curriculum development, and providing service to the department, college, and university.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have a PhD degree in Computer Science or related discipline or be on track (ABD) to complete their PhD by July 2027.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong preference will be given to candidates whose PhD degree, research, and/or professional experience demonstrates a specialization in Bioinformatics or closely related computational fields (e.g., Biomedical Informatics, Computational Biology, Computational Genomics, etc.).
Seeking applicants who are able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. They must also demonstrate proven ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with students, staff, and faculty peers.
