    The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks an Administrative Associate to provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of the office or department. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
    1. Manage calendars, schedule meetings and coordinate appointments.
    2. Answer and route phone calls and emails professionally.
    3. Distribute mail and manage incoming/outgoing correspondence.
    4. Process purchase orders, invoices and expense reports.
    5. Prepare meeting materials, take minutes and follow up on action items.
    6. Coordinate equipment orders, deliveries, asset tagging and surplus.
    (Hourly Rate: $18.35 - $23.85)


    Qualifications
    Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

    Preferred Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Proficient in UAB Financial Systems (Oracle, Buy UAB, Surplus System) Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills .
    * This position is fully onsite Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
