  • Job Summary
    This job requires data entry into the University Surplus and Salvage database. Inserts required images into database. Files paperwork. Requires operating a cash register. Requires good customer service. Answers general questions received via email or telephone. Answer questions and help customers at the sales counter. Helps customers in the warehouse/store. Assists in posting online auctions. Performs other duties as required by supervisors or management.

    The successful completion of a criminal background check and drug test required.

    Responsibilities
    Input data via a computer. Gather information from accounts, applications, or spreadsheets and transfer into a standard format or database. Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling, sorting, and verifying information. Perform related clerical duties. Senior-level support role. Complete assignments with little supervision. May assist less-experienced team members.
    Minimum Qualifications
    EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

    Requires 3+ years of related experience.
    Preferences
    The ability to read and write in English; demonstrated human relation skills; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required. A knowledge of inventory control procedures would be helpful.
