    The Long Island Educational Opportunity Center (LIEOC) at Farmingdale State College seeks a full-time Coordinator of Budget and Finance to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Coordinator will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, monitoring financial activities, and providing comprehensive budget oversight. This role implements internal controls in compliance with federal, state, and contractual guidelines and regulations.

    The successful candidate will bring knowledge of fiscal operations, an understanding of financial best practices, and strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

    Responsibilities include:

    Provide fiscal oversight of the annual state operating budget and all grant funded programs.
    Assist in developing the annual financial plan.
    Prepare and analyze monthly expenditure reports.
    Provide management oversight for contractual services.
    Prepare appointment notices for faculty, adjuncts, and part-time professional staff.
    Approve and coordinate payroll submissions in accordance with policies and procedures.
    Manage procurement and purchasing transactions, as well as accounts payable and receivable.
    Participate in SUNY University Center for Academic and Workforce Development Finance Committee and attend other related meetings as requested.

    Requirements:

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's degree.
    At least three (3) years of relevant experience.
    Experience with enterprise-level software systems related to fiscal management, human resources, and/or purchasing and procurement.
    Strong skills in Excel or comparable spreadsheet applications (such as Google Sheets, or similar program).
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Master's degree.
    Experience in the field of education.
    Experience within SUNY or another state system.
