  • What We Are Looking For

    Baylor University is seeking an Assistant Director of Development who will support the mission of the university by qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of donors and prospects for major gifts to Baylor, focused on support for the College of Arts & Sciences.

    A Bachelor's degree and less than one year of relevant work experience is required. A Master’s degree and two years of relevant work experience are preferred.

    *All applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

    What You Will Do

    Actively participate in Advancement’s prospect management activities, including discovery and qualification visits, and other prospect development initiatives
    In partnership with the Managing Director, Assistant VP, and Associate VP for Development, establish annual, measurable goals for new gift commitments, submitted proposals, qualified prospects, and prospect meetings conducted
    Partner with deans, directors, and senior administrators to develop compelling philanthropic priorities that align with Baylor’s and the colleges’ or units’ strategic plans for major donors
    Collaborate with Advancement colleagues and the College of Arts & Sciences team to foster trust, encourage innovative strategies, and work with Baylor staff and volunteers to significantly grow private giving
    Work closely with deans, directors, and senior leaders to structure, engage, and support college and unit advisory boards and councils, ensuring alignment with fundraising goals and increasing philanthropic support
    Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
    Ability to comply with university policies
    Maintain regular and punctual attendance
