    Job Description
    The Department of Biological Sciences at Ohio University Biological Sciences Department | Ohio University invites applications for a Visiting Professor with a commitment to student success. The area of specialization is open, but the successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate biology courses covering topics in basic anatomy and physiology, ecology and evolution. Teaching load is typically three to four in-person courses per semester, based on the candidate’s expertise and departmental needs. The courses will be delivered mostly in-person at the Athens Campus, but there may be the opportunity to teach an online course.

    The Visiting Professor position is a full time, nine-month position for the academic year 2025-2026 (from August 16, 2025, to May 15, 2026).

    Minimum Qualifications
    Applicants must have a MS or equivalent or higher degree in biological sciences or a related field at the time of application with experience teaching undergraduate courses.
    Preferred Qualifications
    The preferred candidate will demonstrate evidence of experience in advising and mentoring students, pedagogical innovations and excellence in teaching in anatomy, physiology, evolution and/or ecology.
