  • Position Summary
    This recruitment is for one part-time Student Information Technology position at OSU-Cascades, located in Bend, Oregon. This role requires in-person/on-site attendance. The Student Information Technology worker will assist in providing comprehensive IT support to all users at OSU-Cascades.

    Position Duties
    Provide IT support through various channels, including in-person/walk-in, email, chat, or phone. Responsibilities encompass asset tracking and documentation maintenance, setting up computer workstations for faculty and staff, researching, troubleshooting, and resolving computing inquiries, and providing instructional support as required. Additionally, this role entails repairing computers, addressing operating system and application errors, and maintaining and inspecting technology systems in classrooms, meeting rooms, and boardrooms.

    Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
    Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
    Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
    High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
    Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
    Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
    Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
    Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

    *International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

    Possesses a strong commitment to superior customer service with excellent telephone and in-person etiquette. Demonstrates exceptional verbal and written communication skills. A self-starter with the capacity to learn quickly. Exhibits meticulous attention to detail and a willingness to follow through on tasks. Dependable, professional, and conscientious. Capable of working effectively with customers, colleagues, and management. Displays good problem-solving skills and sound decision-making abilities. Possesses strong technical aptitude and knowledge of operating systems and computer hardware components. Available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week, and availability to work full-time over the summer term.
