Job Summary
Identifies and fosters partnerships with local organizations and stakeholders to enhance community presence and impact of the Reciprocal Inclusive Student Experience (RISE) Program. Develops and organizes RISE program events and opportunities for community engagement and education. Oversees development of pipelines for internship, co-op and employment opportunities for student participants. Delivers non-credit RISE Program curriculum and provides individualized ongoing support to student participants to meet academic, personal and career goals. Serves as a liaison between the RISE program, student participants, families, instructors, job internship sites, and community partners. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferably in education, social work, counseling or related field.
One (1) year of experience in career development, community engagement, or student support services.
Supervisory or leadership experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in special education.
Experience working with transition age (14-22) individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Experience providing job training and coaching for individuals with disabilities.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Commitment to supporting students with disabilities and promoting inclusive education and employment opportunities.
Excellent interpersonal skills, “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery, and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, presentation delivery skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and work as an individual contributor and an effective team player, in addition to being highly organized, self-directed, and forward-thinking.
Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans.
Ability to engage, communicate, and resolve issues with student participants of diverse backgrounds and needs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
