Assistant Professor of Nursing:
Rivier University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Nursing. Reporting to the Dean of Nursing and Health Professions, the Assistant Professor of Nursing is responsible for providing instruction and support to prelicensure nursing students within the Division of Nursing and Health Professions at Rivi er University.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Candidate must possess a keen interest and enthusiasm for engaging, teaching, working and mentoring students in Nursing Fundamentals, Health Assessment, and Research.
- Candidate must possess strong clinical skills and experience in acute care/medical surgical nursing and care of the childbearing family.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues both within the department, throughout the University community and within the clinical settings outside of the University
- Candidate must engage in on campus presence, hold on campus office hours and participate in selected departmental and University wide committees.
- Flexibility in scheduling is required as some teaching is required in both the day BSN and evening ASN programs.
Qualifications
•Master of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
•Doctoral preparation preferred, or in progress.
•Academic teaching experience preferred.
•Unencumbered NH RN license (or eligibility for licensure in NH).
•Unencumbered Massachusetts RN license (or eligibility for licensure in MA).
•Demonstrated ability in and commitment to teaching excellence in a broad range of undergraduate clinical and didactic courses.
•Desire to mentor undergraduate students in their course work and career goals.
