    Lecturer of Marketing

The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration at Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position in marketing, beginning Fall (August) 2025. The marketing program is one of Coastal Carolina University’s largest, and currently serves approximately 900 majors and 200 minors.

The main responsibility for this position is teaching. Instruction will primarily focus on principles of marketing, with a secondary emphasis on consumer behavior and/or marketing research. Opportunities to teach other marketing-related topics may be available based on experience and departmental needs. Lecturers typically teach five courses per semester, which may be delivered in face-to-face, or online formats. In addition to teaching, this position includes advising undergraduate students and contributing to assessment of student learning outcomes. There are also opportunities to participate in service and governance.

The ideal candidate will hold a master’s degree in business with a specialization in marketing or a related discipline from an AACSB or regionally accredited institution. They must have completed at least 18 graduate credit hours in marketing or a relevant business discipline or meet established alternative qualifications. Candidates should possess significant professional experience—both in duration and level of responsibility—that is current at the time of hire and qualifies them to teach principles of marketing, consumer behavior, and/or marketing research. Maintaining professional currency is required throughout employment. Collegiate teaching experience is preferred. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate the ability to engage effectively with colleagues, students, the department, college, campus, community, and professional organizations.

Accredited by AACSB International, the Wall College of Business serves approximately 3100 graduate and undergraduate students. The college offers undergraduate majors in six disciplines (Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Hospitality, Resort and Tourism Management), as well as MBA and Masters of Accountancy programs at the graduate level. Additional information about the College and the University and its programs can be obtained by accessing the university’s web site (http://www.coastal.edu).
