Public Health Research Coordinator
Memory Keepers Medical Discovery Team (MK-MDT) conducts research on dementia and its associated risks and co-morbidities in partnership with Indigenous and rural communities. Our modern facilities have been thoughtfully constructed to foster a team science approach to research and well-being. The MK-MDT investigators and staff work collaboratively with academic and community research partners in the United States and Canada using a community-based participatory research framework. This position will require excellent time management skills.

Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI), the Research Professional 1 will be responsible for:
Duties/Responsibilities
80%: Research & Scholarly Activities
Coordinate and schedule meetings and events.
Assist with event planning activities.
Assist in the collection of qualitative and quantitative data.
Manage qualitative and quantitative databases for quality control.
Assist in the development of surveillance, evaluation, communication, and sustainability plans.
Assist with scoping and systematic literature reviews.
Track project evaluation metrics.
Collaborate with the MK-MDT team on research, policy, and community opportunities that broadly impact dementia and related chronic disease in Indigenous and rural communities.
Engage in other research and administrative duties as needed.
20%: Public Engagement & Communications
Assist in writing health information and research findings for public dissemination.
Assist in public engagement and communications with federal, state, and local government, community organizations, and tribal and rural communities.
Qualifications
All required qualifications must be included in the application materials
Required Qualifications
BA/BS in biology, chemistry, social science, public health, or similar discipline, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years
Ability to collect, manage, and analyze quantitative data.
Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy rules for the protection of human subjects.
Experience with scheduling meetings and events.
Project management skills.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must have the ability to travel with overnight stays.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in social science, public health, nursing, or other health-related discipline.
Knowledge of marginalized populations, including American Indian/Alaska Natives, rural residents, LGBTQ, and people with disabilities.
Experience conducting key-informant interviews and focus groups.
Database management skills.
Experience developing surveys, interview guides, and research protocols.
Experience in community outreach, community engagement, and/or research partner development.
