The FIS department works on solving complex challenges related to Indoor GIS, wayfinding, and asset management. We have developed a robust set of digital floor plans and indoor routing networks in the ArcGIS Indoors data model and have begun pilot-testing an Indoor Positioning System (IPS) using Bluetooth beacons. Our interdepartmental GIS system at ACC consists of ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ESRI out-of-the-box solutions.

Enhance organizational efficiency through process optimization and automation techniques.

Lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of updates and changes to the GIS production system.

Manage and maintain GIS architecture to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure adherence to data standards, workflows, processes, and security protocols across all GIS system users.

Oversee, document, and analyze GIS process flows to identify areas for improvement.

Recommend process enhancements and develop automated technical solutions to improve system performance.

Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to maintain data integrity and ensure the department delivers high-quality services.

Administer AGOL account roles and permissions, manage data within the system, and maintain base maps, styles, and layers while ensuring data security.

Create, refine, and evaluate map templates, GIS workflows, and quality control protocols.

Diagnose and resolve performance and accuracy issues in spatial data and GIS applications.

Configure and expand ArcGIS capabilities, including the development of custom GIS solutions tailored to organizational needs.

Assist in organizing, designing, and processing field data to support GIS projects.
