Position Summary
The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse College of Science and Health, Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMT) program seeks applicants for a new full-time annual appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor. The Nuclear Medicine Technology program offers a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Nuclear Medicine Technology and is accredited by the JRCNMT. The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse students enjoy a 100 percent NMTCB exam pass rate and have exceptional academic and clinical experiences. This program has clinical sites in Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Illinois. With a 100% graduation rate, it is one of the largest NMT Bachelor’s programs in the United States, graduating approximately 28-30 students per year. The program’s strong relationships with both clinical and academic affiliations make it unique compared to other NMT programs and brings the benefit of having the resources of a large program, yet the ability to provide personalized education with the small classroom sizes during the clinical internship year.
The primary responsibility of this position is providing in-person and online education, educating the public and the UWL community about NMT, student advising, leadership, and curriculum development.

Required Qualifications
CNMT (NMTCB) or RT (N) (ARRT) certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Bachelor’s degree in related field completed at the time of start date
A minimum of 2 years clinical experience
Excellent interpersonal/written communication skills
Ability to work independently and coordinate work with colleagues and peers
Desire to be a lifelong learner through professional development and networking
Willingness to obtain a Master’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
Previous teaching experience (clinical experience acceptable)
Interest in involvement in NMT organizations (SNMMI, ASRT, ARRT, JRCNMT, etc.)
Master’s degree or progress towards a Master’s degree
Ability to provide leadership and demonstrate professional behavior
Be a self-directed learner and able to function independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work collaboratively with clinical educators to achieve educational learning objectives
