The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences is the center of Earth sciences at Oregon State University. Our scientists and students are on the frontlines of discovery, from the depths of the ocean to remote mountain peaks, and from the state-of-the-art labs that line our halls to the communities that we serve with the outcomes of our research. The Marketing Specialist will be part of a dynamic and talented team whose mission is to share the college’s cutting-edge science with outside audiences and communities, including alumni, donors, prospective students, K-12 students, and communities affected by and interested in our science.
The Marketing Specialist will develop and implement a variety of integrated marketing strategies and projects to help publicize CEOAS’s science and academic programs. The position is responsible for marketing the college’s research and academic programs via products including (but not limited to) web content, social media posts and campaigns, other digital marketing, and print pieces. Audiences for these marketing initiatives include prospective undergraduate and graduate students, alumni, donors and others. With the support of the director, the specialist collaborates with the college’s undergraduate and graduate student services offices as well as alumni, marketing, and student recruitment organizations across the university.
