    We are seeking a motivated and highly organized Administrative Specialist to provide key administrative support for a growing faculty led research team that crosscuts U-M's Department of Learning Health Sciences and the U-M Center for Global Health Equity's Data Collaborative. The candidate will assist with scheduling and managing complex calendars; developing communications and presentations; coordinating travel and itineraries; and performing administrative and financial tasks. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the chance to join a growing team with a shared purpose and to collaborate with colleagues from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.

    Responsibilities*
    Maintain complex calendars, including coordination with multiple international partners, VIPs, and clinic duties
    Coordinate meetings with international partners from multiple time zones
    Schedule meetings and other appointments using MS Outlook, Gmail, and Zoom
    Screen, prioritize and route key correspondence, responding as appropriate on behalf of the investigator and/or research team.
    Initiate, compose, edit, proofread, and type correspondence, strategic documents, and PowerPoint presentations.
    Coordinate travel arrangements for faculty and staff for domestic and international meetings and conferences, adhering to Michigan Medicine travel guidelines
    Assist with arranging itineraries for international visitors
    Process procurement related activities (Chrome River, travel reimbursement, invoices, etc.)
    Manage IRB certifications, medical credentialing (for USA and Kenya)
    Maintain faculty curriculum vitae (CVs), NIH biosketches, etc
    Additional duties and projects as assigned.
    Required Qualifications*
    Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    Five or more years of progressively responsible professional experience
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with and build professional relationships with all individuals at all levels and across diverse cultural contexts; ability to appropriately handle confidential and sensitive information
    Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and take initiative within a team with minimal supervision
    Outstanding organizational skills and ability to effectively manage numerous projects, in various stages of development, simultaneously and with a high attention to detail
    Excellent computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe PDFs, survey tools such as Qualtrics and Google Forms, and Zoom
    Must be productive and flexible under pressure and able to meet deadlines
    Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
    Desired Qualifications*
    Basic understanding and knowledge of U-M research activities
    Solid understanding of university policies and procedures strongly desired
    Knowledge of and experience with U-M Procurement and financial practices and processes
    Experience with University systems, such as Elements, Chrome River
    Understanding of basic acronyms relative to research administration
