Job Description
This position role is to manage the College of Science, Engineering, and Technology classroom computer labs and desktop imaging services. This specific position is focused on designing, creating, and managing computer images used both in the classroom and computer lab environments. The key aspects of the position will be to provide high-level technical support to the Solution Center, be the lead software and licensing expert, problem identification and management, managing our imaging and patching environment, and working with our security expert to minimize and mitigate operating system and software risks to our students and faculty. This position is expected to be fluent with endpoint management tools.
Minimum Qualifications
AAS degree or five (5) years of experience in a technology field.
Two (2) years of experience working on computer management through Casper, SCCM, or equivalent computer asset management tools.
The ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts and procedures to non-technical personnel is critical.
This position requires a strong technical knowledge of supported servers, personal computers, operating systems (including but not limited to Mac OS releases and Windows OS releases); local area networks and applications software.
Experience managing software contracts.

Bachelor’s or higher degree
Project management experience
Experience working in an educational environment
Demonstrated ongoing professional development
ITIL Certification or familiarity
Endpoint management experience
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment
Other Requirements
This position does have physical requirements. You must be able to climb ladders, and lift computers and projectors above your head. This position also is responsible for unboxing, installing, and moving computer lab equipment.
Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating in and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.
