    We are seeking a post-doctoral researcher to lead experimental efforts in a new center focused on Artificial Intelligence integrated materials discovery at the University of Wyoming. The focus of our center is the integration of 3 key areas: novel, high throughput experimental materials synthesis, Artificial Intelligence, and Computational Modeling. The researcher will be responsible for further developing a laser induced materials synthesis laboratory with real-time spectroscopic analysis. The researcher will be working closely with computer scientists to integrate machine learning into the experimental approach.





    Minimum Qualifications


    The successful applicant must have completed a Ph.D. preferably in materials science, condensed matter physics, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related discipline, with a proven capacity for excellent research that is reflected in a strong publication record.

    Desired Qualifications


    We are especially interested in hiring a researcher with extensive experimental experience in one (or more) of the following areas: laser induced graphene, chemical characterization of carbon allotropes (diamond, carbon nanotubes, graphene, graphite, etc.), optical spectroscopy, pulsed-laser deposition, and/or laser alignment experience. Experience with computer programming, including LabVIEW is particularly desired.
