  • Position Summary
    The College of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SBS) is accepting applications for a Program Coordinator position with focused service to the Associate Dean for Research & Graduate Studies and the Associate Dean for Community Engagement. The successful applicant will be able to work independently under general direction, handle tasks quickly and responsibly and will be expected to interpret and explain procedures to a variety of constituents.

    Duties & Responsibilities
    • Provide general administrative support for the SBS Associate Dean for Research & Graduate Studies and the Associate Dean for Community Engagement. This includes managing their calendars, assisting with correspondence, and coordinating travel.
    • Provides background materials to both Associate Deans in anticipation of meetings and events.
    • Prepares and edits correspondence, documents, and spreadsheets for accuracy
    • Assists with compiling and updating basic data for each area.
    • Tracks projects and pending matters for both areas.
    • Coordinates listservs and web content for each area.
    • Provides event support for both areas, including speakers, conferences, meetings, etc.
    • Interfaces with external UA/SBS affiliated organizations such as SFA to coordinate shared administrative functions.
    • Provides support to general college events.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, editing abilities, and strong project management skills.
    • Ability to work independently, with a high degree of self-motivation.
    • Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills.
    • Knowledge and experience utilizing Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook.
    • Knowledge of Qualtrics, Google Forms, and/or similar survey software system.
    • Ability to work with and manage basic quantitative data in spreadsheet form.

    Arizona Board of Regents Minimum Qualifications
    Bachelor’s degree in field appropriate to area of assignment AND two years of administrative/coordinative program experience; OR, six years of progressively responsible administrative coordinative program experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education.

    Preferred Qualifications
    Knowledge and experience utilizing university systems (UAccess – Student), PeopleSoft, or other web-based Enterprise application systems.
