    The primary role for this position is to be a resource for Student Account Representatives, Front desk coordinator, Third Party billing coordinator and NYS awards coordinator. The position is responsible for monitoring the workflow including incoming phone calls, student/parent face to face interaction, irate phone calls and account adjustments.

    Qualifications
    • An Associate’s degree desired and minimum three years of experience in a related field.

    • Proficiency with People soft financials, student records and Financial aid.

    • Requires experience in Microsoft office.

    • Excellent customer service and supervisory skills required

    Job Specific Qualifications
    • Position requires excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

    • Independent decision making is required with good business judgment and analysis of student accounts.

    Responsibilities
    • Respond to complex questions from students and parents concerning their billing statements with the ability to extract and interpret information from the following information systems: Financial Aid and Student Records. Items elevated to this position may require multi step problem solving and in depth research.

    • Interpret, explain, and enforce university and government policies and procedures as they pertain to student accounts, financial aid and registration. Recommend and implement policy and procedure improvements and adjustments.

    • Resource for staff of six Account Representatives with regard to University financial policies and procedures. Assist manager by identifying problems that need to be addressed. Monitor daily schedule of representatives to adjust when necessary to provide efficient customer service. Support staff positions in their absence or when the workload requires it.

    • Process refund requests, account adjustments, Monthly Payment Plans and financial statements, while providing the appropriate documentation to satisfy audit reviews.
