  • A laboratory of Molecular Neuroscience at University of Minnesota Medical School, Duluth campus is looking for a talented and motivated postdoctoral researcher to investigate molecular mechanisms of stroke using mouse models. The laboratory is interested in 1) signaling mechanisms in neurological disorders; 2) molecular basis of circadian regulation of neurophysiology. Focuses will be placed on mechanisms that control mRNA translation in the brain. The lab can be found here:

    The trainees will have opportunities to work with genetically modified animals and solve scientific problems utilizing a combination of molecular, cellular and behavioral approaches. Salary will be based on the new postdoc salary policy ($47,476 minimum plus fringe benefits) and commensurate with experience. The city of Duluth is an inexpensive, seaport city located on the Lake Superior''s shore with a variety of urban amenities. The State of Minnesota is one of the best states for family life.

    The candidate must have an MD and/or PhD degree. Candidates with research backgrounds in molecular neuroscience, signal transduction and /or mouse models of stroke are encouraged to apply.
