We seek an enthusiastic candidate for the position of postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Timothy Chan, the Chair of the Center for Immunotherapy and Precision Immuno-Oncology at the Cleveland Clinic. The postdoctoral position is for highly motivated candidates with a background in molecular/cellular biology, immunology, and/or genetics to join a research group interested in cancer genomics and immunotherapy research. Projects will involve using molecular biological and genomics strategies to identify and characterize genetic determinants of cancer progression and therapeutic response. Applicants should hold a PhD and/or MD degree and have strong laboratory and analytical skills. Experience in molecular biology, immunology, bioinformatics, or cancer genetics would be very helpful.

Job Responsibilities:
- Independent project design with the goal of data generation, analysis, interpretation and manuscript preparation
- Conducts research focused on immunotherapy and cancer genomics
- Plans, organizes, performs and monitors daily project protocols
- Collects, prepares and maintains required research documentation, including informed consent records, case records, clinical notes and medical reports
- Reports and assists with the management of protocol deviations, adverse events and other project-related issues
Education:
- PhD or MD/PhD required
- MD with relevant laboratory experience may substitute for PhD
Languages:
- English Proficiency proof required for candidates arriving on J-1, J-2, or F1 +
- OPT visa status
Work Experience:
- Previous experience in a research or academic setting. Graduate student experience meets this requirement.
- Scientific writing experience
