Why do school that used to be on a quarter system would want to switch to a semester system all of a sudden?

I'm not sure about that myself. perhaps they are trying to be in sync with everyone elsein the area. But i would think for this particular school to boost admission, they should stay with quarter system because if students couldn't get into other schools and would like to start classes right away, they will turn to these quarter system schools and start taking classes.
