What do we have to do to save the our job market? I think the current trend is companies are outsourcing their work to other countries like India, China, etc, in an effort to reduce their expenses and costs, on the expense of our job market.

If you look at it this way, it's a cascade of moves. It's all about everyone trying to save themselves before they can save other. Companies in the States are suffering because of the slumping economy and the only apparent way for them to survive is to cut expenses, meaning, layoffs and outsource. Although, historically studied, this is not the most feasible way to save your company, but it fixes problem in the short run.
