Although the process is more complicated, It's free to apply for a FAFSA loan at www.fafsa.gov, the U.S. Department of Education's website. At www.fafsa.com, Student Financial Aid Services will do it for you for a fee of approx $80, but that doesn't make you more likely than others to get money. It's just someone filling out the forms for you.

For some people, it's troublesome and a tiring process to fill out all the paperwork. So, it may be worth $80 to get the form accurate and submit on time to government. At the end of the day, it's getting the money that's count.
