How heavy do the admission office value extracurriculum activities on the application? If i've only participated in one or two throughout my HS years, is that not enough? what can i say in the interview to makeup for that?

extracurriculum activities are important because admission office look at your application as a whole, gpa,SAT/ACT scores, involvement in school, extracurriculum activities, etc. Your high school counselor should advise their students to do volunteer work. A good place is to volunteer at a hospital. Hint : It really looks good on that application.
