  • should i call the employer or not?         

I received a response letter from one of the employers i've recently applied to and they made it sound like they will be contacting me in the near future. Should I wait for them to call?

Are you sure this letter is not one of those generic letter/template letter that they send out as a coutesy thing? Kind of like you apply online and then you get an automatic reply saying "Thank you for applying and we will be contacting you soon for an interview".
