It's all about supply and demand. I don't want to apply this to the rest of the world, but at least for our country, an advanced degree is better than a regular degree and it's better than no degree. If you have no degree, it's likely you will make minimal wage. Schools understand this fact and therefore tuition spikes up each year. Parents understand this fact and they encourages their children to go to college and get educated.
