I wanted to know if you live in a small town and the only high school available do not offer any honor classes, AP courses or any other college prep course. How would that be viewed in the admission office?

That certainly put you in a slight disadvantage. Even though the school you attend to do not even give you the option to take these classes. The admission office does not necessarily know that.

Another way it might affect you in a negative way is you sort of fall behind to begin the semester. The purpose of these AP courses are to one, prepare you to tackle the college courses and two, gives you the opportunity to challenge yourself and third, gives you the chance to place out on some of the actual college classes and get credit for it.

Hopefully you will have other qualities to show on your application and also, you may mention that in your essay. I'm not suggesting for you to use that as an excuse, but you may certainly embed that piece of info wisely in your paper so that the admission office would understand.
